This is a very nice clean well maintained cmpground with very helpful and nice managers. Had 50amp service with full hookups. Very nice gravel and level pads. Shade trees with excellent grass and no bare spots. It rained overnight and campsite never got muddy. The noise from highway did not bother me in the least. Stayed two nights and would stay again if in the area. Summary-park has all the necessary full hookups including excellent cable and wi-fi. Clean grass and shade trees.
This place is only useful because it is the only game in town with full hookups and at that had to take a 30 amp site because not many have 50 amp. I have been on the road for 3 months now and this is the most unsightly and dirty campground I have stayed in. This place looks like no one has done any maintenance around here in years. Right next to my RV site was where they do work such as repair picnic tables, etc. It looked like a junk pile with all the trash and parts laying around. The only grass I saw was dead grass. Sites where others had stayed still had trash laying around after they left for the 4 days I stayed there. Only good thing I can say about this place is that owners were friendly and helpful on check-in and if you like to ride motorcycles on Beartooth and Chief Joseph Hwy like I do, it is a place to stay. Otherwise, I would be embarrassed to bring a guest out to the motorhome because the place looks like a dump.
This campground will do, but it sure is nothing special. Most of 50amp sites with sewer were in a separate parking lot consisting of dirt and gravel, no trees, and a terrible view. Most sites with trees and a small amount of barely alive grass are 30amp, no sewer sites. Glad I was in the separate lot since they play music every night that I could still hear from where I was when outside. Sure would hate to try to go to bed early if I was closer to that music. I think $35/night is too high for this spot. Goods things are that the staff is very friendly and helpful. They will even let you pay for a full week with big discount and will reimburse if you decide to leave early. Not many camp grounds will do that. Town is an easy walk from campground and not even worth getting the car out. I would stay here again, just think it is overpriced and the visuals here are not that great. Medora is very nice little town with plenty of things to do in the area. The Bully Pulpit golf course is a very good course and cost about $65 with cart to play.
This is an ok campground but just that. By no way is it a resort RV park and way overpriced but very close to the neat town of Anacortes. Good golf in the area at reasonable prices. It rained on us the entire 4 days we were here. There are a few sites that has a decent view of bay. Our site was called bay view but due to the tide changes, I was looking at a mud pit in the bay during the day and the tide filled up the bay by around 8pm which made the scenery better, except across the bay was a big ugly oil refinery. I think the RV parks in Mt. Vernon are much better, especially the price but they were all filled up. I would definitely try to plan ahead and stay in another park next time.
Nice campground. Very friendly and helpful staff. I actually stayed here for a week and then went over Northern Cascades Hwy20 to Anacortes on Puget Sound. Got tired of rain so came back to this campground to dry out. Sites have wonderful shade trees and nice level gravel sites with paved interior roads. Excellent water pressure and water volume in case you need to wash your RV. Nice view of river from most campsites. Winthrop is a very nice western town. Nice golf course within about 8 miles. I will stay here again.
This is a above average RV park but nothing to rave about. At least it has paved interior roads which is rare in Montana. Jellystone across the street is newer and nicer but has no shade trees. This park has lots of shade trees to block the sun. Site itself is gravel but ok. Staff was friendly and helpful. I have Alltel cell phone and internet and both worked perfectly. It's about a 5 mile drive into Missoula which is no problem since it is all interstate. We played golf two days at two excellent golf courses. We toured the Elk Foundation and the Fire Jumper Training center and both interesting. We had to buy a new camera since our's broke. I love Montana - NO Sales Tax. I would stay here again if back in the area.
This campground was a pleasure to stay in. It is very clean and neat with good visual appearance. It is also run my the most friendly and helpful owner operators of any RV park I have stayed at in the past 2 months of traveling. I pulled in with a 40DP pulling a motorcycle trailer. The best pull thru site for my long rig had a west awning side exposure that I was not too happy about but owners Hedi and Andy worked with me to make me happy. Ended up under a large shade tree in the owners back yard. They shared their campfire and hospitality with us that night. Campground is in perfect location for anything you want to see in the area and if you so desire it's only a 15-20 minute walk into town. CG host gave us many tips on what to see and all turned out to be a great trip. By the way, Hedi and Andy are RV'ers themselves so they know what it takes to make traveler's happy and do an excellent job of it. Went for a walk around campground and went into the washroom, as they call it here in Canada, the showers and restrooms were so clean that I was afraid to use them. I didn't want to mess anything up. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here again. My kind of campground with lots of visual appeal. I will take neat and clean and hospitality over amenities any day.
We stayed here for a week and we love it. Very clean park with nice concrete pads. We stayed in D Loop which is the newest with new concrete and picnic tables and grills. Trash and restrooms are very handy. Excellent cell phone and wireless Internet as well as satellite (Alltel) service for computer. We had a lakeview on both sides of motorhome that was gorgeous. Staff at resort was helpful and friendly. As we are towing a motorcycle on trailer as only means of transportation, the RV shuttle was very handy for taking us into town to play golf. Page has the Lake Powell National golf course which is a great course with beautiful vista views of Lake Powell and the dam. We stayed here with easy day trips to North Rim of Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce Canyon. Resort extends all privileges to RV guest just like the lodge guest. Nice pool, hot tub and great pizza. I only have one negative comment about the RV park. In D Loop which is all pull throughs, the RV sites alternate the direction they face, thus saving space. If in D Loop, make sure you are facing the lake which is North. This puts your awning side facing East for the afternoon sun. Saw many people set up facing South with awning side facing West. Since campground was not full, it didn't take them long to wise up and switch sites.
For the price of $18, this is one of the nicest parks I have ever stayed in. Beautiful river view, with lots of grass and space between campsites. Sites with the best view only have 30 amp electric and water; however, they were adding many 50 amp sites with river view at my last visit. Staff have always been friendly to me and I visit often since I only live 40 minutes away.
Very nice park. We enjoyed the stay very much. Beautiful views. I only have one complaint abut the park and that is the price. $60 is the most I have ever paid for a campsite anywhere, anytime. Of course, it's the only game in town for quite a distance. However, we were ready to get out of Utah and Arizona because of the heat. I have stayed in many campgrounds just as nice for $30-$35. The talk around the campground is that owners sold all the RV lots at somewhere around $150,000 a piece and then they rent them out when the owners are not present. So now we have the lot owner trying to pay for his investment and the campground managers trying to make a profit on managing it. Thus the high price for campsite. One other gripe is the orientation of the sites. Most will get West sun right into the awning side of the RV. I have finally decided that the people who design these RV parks are not RV'ers. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again unless I find myself on a budget.
Very disappointed in the campground. One directory said mostly paved. Well the only paved area is the entry way by the office. The rest of the campground is very, very dusty gravel. Came in with a nice clean motorhome and left with my coach and motorcycle covered with dust. My reservation said I would have a 60 ft pull through full hookup so I could bring my 40'DP in with motorcycle trailer on back. Pull throughs are side by side hookups. The RV next to me was a 43'DP with car in front and in the rear. No way to turn RV into space much less RV and trailer. I have more turning radius at my house for a car than they do for a 40'DP into their pull throughs. Called office and requested one of the other many sites open that I could pull into with ease. No, they were reserved for other guest. They said they would come down to site and see what was going on. They left me in 108 degree heat waiting and had to call back. A non-friendly gentleman showed up to see what was going on. No one was home in adjacent RV to move the car parked in way. I was told if you can't get the motorhome in there some way, we will give you a refund and you can leave, that's your only option. I was wondering why I wanted to pay extra money for a pull through when I can't pull through. So I dropped the motorcycle trailer. Had to go around to other side of park and back into the campsite, then pull my trailer up to motorhome and rehook. I had decided to stay the night since it was too much hassle to hunt up another campground that late. So I went to the office immediately after getting setup, and requested a refund for the remaining days I had paid for since there was no way I wanted to stay at this dust pit with such unfriendly staff. They told me that they did not give refunds on unused days. After much hassle, he finally decided to give me a refund on unused days but then he said he would have to charge me a $10 fee for making a credit card refund. I just about lost it at that point. I will never come back to this campground again. If I knew any of my employees were so rude and so unhelpful to my customers as the staff here was to me, I would fire them on the spot. This is not just my opinion. I had 3 other guest come up to me and tell me how rude and unhelpful they were to them also.
I love this campground. Nice views, space between campsites, great weather for getting away from Arizona heat. I got there on a Tuesday and got full hookups. Campground was completely full by Wednesday. Will come back to this campground anytime in the area. No reservation are available so come early in week to avoid all the Phoenix people trying to escape the heat on the weekend.
